Jerusalem:
Psalm 137:5-6English Standard Version (ESV)
5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill!
6 Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth, if I do not remember you,
if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy!
Have you, since childhood maybe, been reading about Jerusalem in your Bible and wondered what it really looks like? Have you heard about the return of Jesus (Yeshua) and that He will set foot on the Mount of Olives? Have you wept while reading in Matthew 26:67 about Jesus that was tried informally by the Sanhedrin at the home of Caiaphas and where they spat in his face and struck him with their fists. Surely you have seen pictures of many sites in Jerusalem, but to actually be there …… nothing can compare with the emotions that one feels while visiting some of the places where Jesus actually spent time. How wonderful to be able to walk on the Ramparts (the walls of the famous Old City) and to, according to Psalm 122:6, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem”. As the Jews proclaim at the end of the Passover Seder and the Yom Kippur Services, “Next year in Jerusalem”
