Located in Latrun, about halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Mini Israel allows visitors to see the entire country at eye level via 350 sites of religious, historical or tourist significance – at scale of 1:25. Artists have taken painstaking care to recreate the sites, even adding 7-centimeter-tall people: worshippers at the Western Wall, Jerusalem’s soccer stadium full of fans, Tel Aviv beachgoers and more. Sound and light effects add to the experience, as do native trees and plants – in dwarf size – that provide the landscaping.
In addition to the models themselves, you can take in a 3D movie called MiniMax, which provides an aerial tour of Israel and the now-familiar sites you’ve visited in miniature.
