Coastal area:

We all learnt about Jonah and the “big fish”. At the old port city of Yafo (Jafo) is from where Jonah sailed to Nineveh. The statue of faith is also in the area as well as the house of Simon the Tanner.

Caesarea is where Peter went with the men, which Cornelius sent, after he had the vision of the animals coming down in the sheet from heaven at the house of Simon the Tanner in Yafo.  Caesarea was built by Herod the Great and here Paul was on trial before Felix, Festus and Agrippa. The history of the city goes back long before the Herodian period (1st century B.C.E.), but Herod made the city famous by the elaborate harbour and city he built here.

Mount Carmel (Mukhraqa) is in this area where Elijah had the contest between him and the prophets of Baal. It is beautifull to see the panoramic view of the Jezreel Valley and the Kishon River from here. What do you see?
